Nothing wrong

Last Monday 4/26 Logan went to Littleton hospital for some test. They did a chest x-ray and a throat x-ray looking for anything which could be causing him to make the kitty noise he makes. It was hard on the little guy as they had to shove a tube up his nose and down his throat. He did as best can be expected and was actually in a good mood afterwards. Well the test results came back and there is nothing wrong with him. They said we could have him go see a specialist but we are done. The noise doesn't hurt him and isn't bothering anyone so why put him through more. Logan should be starting speech therapy soon so maybe the noise will go away then.

Logan is the best

I really love Logan even on days when he's extra cranky. He is so cute and is getting so big. I look at him and wonder where my little baby went. I can't believe he is already 2. I thought I'd post this picture because it's one of my favorites. We took it at the children's museum the day before I went back to work.

Doctor's visit

Today I took Logan to the doctor to see if there was anything wrong with his vocal cords, lymph nodes, throat. Logan makes this noise that sounds like he is congested and is either purring or clearing his throat. Both Mike-e and I thought he was making the noise but the people at the Developmental Pathways place don't think it's voluntary. They said we should have him checked out. So I took him in. He was really cranky today because he's been running a fever and teething. I gave him some Tylenol to help with his fever and the pain. When we went to the doctors he was really tired. He didn't make the noise at all when we were there. Dr. Katz said everything he could see looked fine but that we should have Logan's throat and chest X-rayed. So we are going to take him to Littleton hospital on Monday morning to have these procedures done. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I worry I am putting Logan through needless procedures for no reason. But I worry if I don't do it then if there is something wrong I'm making it worse by not getting him the help he needs. It's very frustrating. I guess I'm am just going to have to trust his doctor and the developmental pathways experts.

Creative art

Mike-e and I both started school and so we each have a night when we watch both boys. These nights can be tough depending on the boys' mood. One night I came home and Mike-e looked a little stressed. I asked if the boys had been cranky. Mike-e said no with a weird look on his face. He then told me that while he was making dinner Logan had found a marker. He drew all over the couch, the baby swing on all over Zander's head. We didn't get any pictures but it was pretty funny. I'm sure there will be a next time, so we'll have to get pictures then.

Growing up

Logan is now a big brother. Zander was born on the 31st of December making Logan a big brother. So far he doesn't seem to mind Zander and points to Zander and signing baby. He seems to want to grow up and no longer be the baby. The last two nights he has slept in his toddler bed by his own choice. He is so cute laying in his bed and I'm impressed he made this decision on his own.
